Processing ten items is easy in any workflow tool. Processing a hundred thousand documents, or running thousands of runs at once, is where workflow tools differ. On Strongly Cloud, scaling out is a tab on the node.

On Strongly Cloud

  • Any Loop, Map or Parallel Branch runs Single, Threaded (several items at once in one worker) or Across Workers (up to 100 workers with up to 200 threads each).
  • Failed items retry, a lost worker hands its items back to the queue, and results come back in order.
  • Deployed workflows scale with their runs across up to 50 pods, each running up to 50 runs at once, and scale to zero when idle.
  • Batch and streaming workflows, including real-time voice, on the same engine. GPU workers for heavy steps.

On n8n

  • Scaling out uses queue mode: you run Redis, PostgreSQL and separate worker processes on a self-hosted install.
  • n8n Cloud plans cap concurrent executions: 5 on Starter, 50 on Pro, 200+ on Enterprise.
  • Business, with multiple environments and queue mode, is self-hosted only. Multi-main is self-hosted Enterprise.
  • Each worker runs 10 jobs at once by default. Sizing and running the worker fleet is up to you.

Common questions

Is Strongly Cloud open source like n8n?

No. If self-hosting open software on your own servers is a hard requirement, n8n is a good fit. If you need your own private instance, Strongly Dedicated runs in your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, or on-premises.

How does Strongly scale a workflow?

Any Loop, Map or Parallel Branch can run its items several at once in one worker, or spread across up to 100 workers with up to 200 threads each. Deployed workflows also scale with their runs across up to 50 pods. There is no Redis, database or worker fleet for you to run.

Can I move my n8n workflows?

Yes. Describe the workflow to STAN or rebuild it on the canvas. Calls to your existing APIs and webhooks carry over unchanged.

Is Strongly Cloud more expensive than n8n?

The starting price is higher. Strongly Cloud plans start at $199 a month and include managed infrastructure credits, agents, apps, the AI Gateway, ML and managed databases, so you are not running servers, Redis and workers to scale.
